Sin runs deep within this earthly realm
And no one is immune to it's seduction
The look of promising futures
The smell of sweet satisfaction
The feel of inner fulfillment
But it doesn't convey the punishment
Dealt from simple acceptance

Of living life that way
The look of sullen eyes downwards
The smell of saddening defeat
The feel of emptiness
