Apology

Today I sat with a friend
Someone who's been there through thick and thin
Her heart was aching from loneliness
I didn't see cause I too have been stressed
But my eyes are now open
I can clearly see
What differences can make
On the view we lead
I've neglected someone
Close to my heart
Though petty changes
And being apart

All I can say is I apologize
For all the hurt I've caused inside
I can't truly say that I know why
You had to be alone when you started to cry
My world has changed several times
But now I see cause inside I try
To see the world through your view
